A Message From Our board

april 2024

A new GSW membership year starts with a new “Members Only” page password!

Per the policy enacted in early 2023, all GSW memberships expire on March 31 each year (or three) from the date of joining or renewing a membership.  As such April 1 starts the new “membership year” with only “Active” (paid) members to receive Pedal Talks, club benefits including discounts at sponsoring shops, listings of local events, insurance coverage on club rides, mileage tracking and access to the “Members Only” page on the GSW website.

On the GSW website, click the small white bike icon on the upper right corner of your screen, or the “Members Login” link in the footer to access this password-protected page:  https://gswheelers.org/members.

Effective with the April Pedal Talk mailing, the new “Members Only” page password will be emailed to all current members -- please make a note of it!  This password will appear in every Pedal Talk which is sent only to current members and will be valid until April 2025 for all members – you do not have your own password or the ability to change it.

A separate “personalized” email will be sent to all “Active” members to help ensure the new password is found.

Best wishes for great year of cycling in 2024 and may you stay safe on the busy roads!

ABOUT OUR treasurer and GSW Office, DAVE TOPHAM

Dave Topham receiving the NH Governor's Council on Physical Activity and Health's Outstanding Achievement Award.

Most of you know Dave as one of the founders of Granite State Wheelers and Bike-Walk Alliance of NH.  As Scot Foster, Community Strategies Coordinator, NH Department of Health and Human Services said of  Dave, "He is everything cycling, but he's also a great person and a true professional."

Dave has been on virtually every committee related to walking and biking in New Hampshire. Among many other accomplishments, Dave was instrumental in getting the "3-foot law" passed that requires motorists to keep a safe distance from cyclists.

You would be hard-pressed to find a bicycle and/or a pedestrian advocacy-related activity that Dave Topham did not have a hand in or in some way helped make successful.
